Must track down that IK article on gloves now, thanks. I'll look forward to seeing which Selbuvotter glove pattern you decide on. I have it in mind to do a pair too, since I finished the mittens.

I really like the yarn you used for the fingerless gloves shown in the picture - the slight variegation is really interesting. I also am not buying yarn in 2011 (besides the few Tess yarns I bought in NYC at the Vogue Knitting Live show last month.) My reasoning is that I'm not really turning out many finished garments now, so I can't really justify buying yarn.

I'm glad that you didn't find a preference amongst the gussets because I did the same with those that I did with sock heels, find one I like and then look no further.

I recently diverted 1.2kg of aran weight yarn from being a hypothetical sweater to being actual hats and scarves. Since I made the decision to view it differently I've used over half of it. I have no regrets.

I love your fingerless gloves! I started on a mitten kick earlier this year but it got set aside for an endless baby blanket. I might get inspired to drag out the kits I bought.
Your home renovation looks like a major mess. It's a pain to live through that, but always good when done.
