I had decades where all I ever knitted was sweaters because what else was there to knit? I'm making up for it now, all I seem to knit now is small things and shawls. It is very satisfying to have something complete to show from a few evening's work.

That is a lovely colour, it could nearly be a crocus.

Very cool! I can't wait to see all of it. Isn't it great when you can find what you want to knit in the yarn and pattern you want to knit it in?

For the most part I have been very pleased with Knit Picks yarns. I simply can't afford the premium yarns if I want to knit as much as I do. There have been a few exceptions - I would not recommend their Essentials sock yarn. But I'm especially please with some of the silk/alpaca blends - luxury at a reasonable price. I think I have one of every color of Alpaca Cloud (laceweight).

Good to know about the KP Elegance. I really liked their Andean Silk I used for Tree Jacket! I have bought a few of their other popular yarns for swatching but have not gotten around to it yet. The yarns look and feel nice though. I think KP and Elann are both great sources of good-value yarn. I like Elann better because their web site is easier to navigate (I have problems with KP's shopping cart working right despite a lot of troubleshooting) and shipping is a lot faster.
